Mississippi v Carly Gregg

Carly Gregg, at the time aged 14, killed her mother, Ashley Smylie, in the bedroom of the family home with a pistol hidden in her mother's room.  After shooting her mother, Carly put the weapon into the refrigerator, which was caught on a home video surveillance camera.  She then waited for her step-father, Heath Smylie, to enter the home.  By then, Gregg's friend, B.W. was present, and heard three shots fired, presumably at Heath.  Gregg then ran off and tried to hide but was quickly taken into custody.
