
Wisconsin v Mark Jensen
In 2008, Mark Jensen was convicted of intentional homicide for poisoning his wife, Julie Jensen, and sentenced to life. In his first trial, a letter Julie had written implicating her husband in case anything happened to her was admitted as evidence. After appealing on the admissibility of that letter, Jensen was granted a retrial in 2023.
