Utah v Kouri Richins
Kouri Richins of Kasmas, Utah, is accused of poisoning her husband in order to gain full control of the couples' finances and his life insurance. Kouri Richins was an aspiring "house flipper," but her husband Eric grew suspicious that her business dealings were not above board. Eric Richins died after consuming a large quantity of street grade fentanyl on March 4, 2022 allegedly mixed into a cocktail Kouri had made and served him. Kouri Richins faces multiple financial charges related to her business dealings as well. The trial is currently set for Feb. 23 to March 26, 2026. ​​​​
